Incenter Platform Engineer
Turn what the bench knows into software that reaches the organizations who could never staff their own operators.
This is where the mission gets built. The bench can only be in so many rooms at once. Incenter is how their edge reaches everyone else: continuous, honest offensive testing as software. You don’t have to be a hacker to work here, but you have to respect the craft you’re turning into a product.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and scale the services behind Incenter, from data pipelines to the product surface.
- Turn offensive techniques into reliable, continuous, automated testing.
- Own reliability and correctness. A platform people trust with their security can’t be flaky.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with operators and researchers to encode what they know.
What you bring
- Strong software engineering in a modern stack (Go, Python, TypeScript, Rust, or similar), with production systems behind you.
- Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, or backend services at scale.
- A bias for correctness and clarity over cleverness.
- Curiosity about security. You’ll learn the offensive side here, but you have to want to.
Bonus points
- Security engineering, or a background near offensive tooling.
- Cloud infrastructure and IaC depth.
- You’ve built a platform people depended on before.
The setup
Remote or in one of our offices, wherever you do your best work. Independent, which keeps us answering to the work and the people we do it for. We hire slowly and keep people a long time. If that sounds like the place, send your work, not a cover letter.
